‘Flying Sikh’ Milkha Singh:  Indian athlete Milkha Singh died on 18 June 2021 Friday night from COVID-19 related complications in a Chandigarh hospital.  Milkha Singh is also known as The Flying Sikh.

The COVID-19 test was positive last month for Milkha Singh and for his wife Nirmal Kaur.

Milkha Singh was 91 years old and his death occurred only five days after Nirmal Kaur, his wife died because of COVID complications.

Nirmal Kaur Saini was an Indian volleyball player and captain of the India women’s national volleyball team.
